Evening Prayer Walk Tenby Harbour, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Date

14th May 2024

Gather

7pm

Return

8pm

Starting Point

St Julian's chapel, Tenby Harbour SA70 7BZ

Description

From picturesque Tenby harbour, the walk follows a short local trail with wonderful sea views all the way. The walk begins and ends at St Julians, the Fisherman's Chapel.

Mostly on tarmac paths, occasionally across sand and grassy hillside, we ascend gently before winding our way back to the Chapel.

Along the Way there are seven stations or stopping points. Pause at each. Consider the question or thought suggested, and then when you are ready, there is no hurry, walk slowly to the next.

Prayer walking is a wonderful way to simply relax and recharge...

All are welcome, dogs too. There's no charge and you're welcome to simply turn up, though if you are able to email in advance that would be useful, just so that we have some idea of numbers.

The walk on the 14th May has been arranged by Journeying together with St Julian's.

The walk was originally formed by St Julian's from an original template for a Prayer Walk; asking God what he wants/offering oneself to God, by Ian Fosten and Barry Hutchinson (United Reformed Church) with additional original material by Cate Macfarlane (Journeying)

St Julian's is open throughout the spring and summer and you are welcome to call in anytime, pick up a walk booklet and take yourself prayerfully along the trail.
