Testimonials & Reviews
We were sharing a journey and although we all came from different places globally and spiritually, we became a community.
'Not quite a retreat, not quite a walking holiday, but with pleasing elements of both: Journeying is a place of encounter and dialogue, conversation and simple fellowship with Christians across a wide spectrum of belief and experience, which I find rare in other settings, and all against the backdrop of some of Britain's most remote and beautiful landscapes.'
I felt loved.
Worshipping with islands, sea and sunset as a back-cloth is something I will never forget
My fellow Journeyers are a warmhearted bunch of Thomas enthusiasts— priests, retired teachers, a
prison chaplain, and a lay-poet — with one or two who do not know him so well but who are keen to
learn more. Our walking pace is not quick, but, because we stop occasionally to read Thomas's work,
our rhythm becomes Thomas-like, too, taking breath at just the right point on a cliff edge before tumbling
down it, faces into the wind. The coastal path is a feast of wildlife fort he walker: there are seals and hares, and birds to please any twitcher; and views. It is easy to see why this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
In travelling to the edge, I rediscovered the centre
Thank you all so much for a wonderful few days and making my first Journeying holiday so enjoyable. I can only echo what everyone else has said that we all gelled so well together and became friends so quickly. The Holy Spirit was very definitely with us.
The most significant thing was the way we naturally united together as a family group.
This was my fifth holiday with Journeying and I have to say it came up to my expectations, not least because we came together with one thing in common: a love of God and his beautiful creation. Although we are all so different (and I thank God for that) that love united us. You were all such good company and offered my so much on which to reflect.
Excellent organisation meant that there was freedom for a real bond to develop within the group
I am in admiration of your quiet confidence in leading our disparate group. The pilgrimage was well planned and your knowledge and spiritual depth made it perfect. I'd love to go on another pilgrimage with you sometime.
Thank you for a great holiday and pilgrimage. You have obviously done lots of preparation for the trip which I thought was a great success.
The holiday was a real blessing and I especially enjoyed the mountain walking and the waterfalls. I wish it could have been a few days longer. You made me feel welcome and at ease with your relaxed manner and it was good to be able to laugh together.
