Description
New Year and a walk through the beautiful Wye Valley on the border of England and Wales.
'New Year in the Valley' is a pilgrim walk of about six miles, beginning and ending at magnificent Tintern Abbey. Along the Way we'll see part of Offa's Dyke, discover Brockweir village with its whitewashed Moravian Chapel perfectly set on the banks of the river Wye, admire some wonderful views only seen at this time of year, when the trees have shed their leaves and listen to readings and reflections that capture the spirit of the season.
The walk is free, just bring a packed lunch. We'll end the day at one of Tintern's lovely cafés with Hot Chocolate, or a mug of steaming Coffee or Tea! Everyone is welcome. And if you have a dog, please feel free to bring him or her along as well.
