Description

As the time of Jesus's birth drew near, Mary and Joseph journeyed to Bethlehem. This Advent as part of our preparations for Christmas, we too set out on a journey.

Advent in the Valley is a pilgrim walk of about six miles, beginning and ending at magnificent Tintern Abbey in the lovely Wye Valley. Along the Way we'll see part of Offa's Dyke, discover Brockweir village with its whitewashed Moravian Chapel perfectly set on the banks of the river Wye, admire some wonderful views only seen at this time of year, when the trees have shed their leaves and listen to readings and reflections for Advent.

The walk is free, just bring a packed lunch. We'll end the day at one of Tintern's lovely cafés with Hot Chocolate, or a mug of steaming Coffee or Tea! Everyone is welcome. And if you have a dog, please feel free to bring him or her along as well.
