Description
A 5 mile walk in the spirit of pilgrimage, beginning and ending in Kettlewell. We will leave Kettlewell and cross the river Wharfe, then climb the valley side to enjoy views along the length of Wharfedale. After a lunch stop in Starbotton, (either bring a packed lunch or snack at the pub), we will return along the riverside, following the Dales Way. We will pause enroute occasionally for a short reflection and to admire the views.
The village of Kettlewell was used as the setting for Knapely village in the film 'Calendar Girls'.
All welcome - including well behaved dogs.
