Throughout human history 'Sacred Spaces' have been created or searched for, to nurture the spiritual aspect of our humanity. Here on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales the evidence of those ongoing processes of spirituality, can be seen in the 5th Century gravestones of a religious community in Aberdaron and the monastery on the sacred island of Bardsey. Continuing on through to the 12th century pilgrim churches and sacred wells, then onwards to the 20th century Buddhist Sangha and 21st century 'Observatory' which looks back, full circle, to the ancient ways of living, working, celebrating and growing in community.
There is a richness in the variety of 'Sacred Spaces' that can be experienced in the 5 days spent on this small peninsula, at a pace that gives time to savour and reflect. Your Journeying leaders know the place well, so that you can relax with short walks in the company of others who are seeking the 'Sacred Spaces' too.
